Tell us where you grew up and a little about your family?

I grew up in Siberia in a very nice loving family.

How did you come to know Christ?


My mom was one of the first people who started to go to protestant church
after communism. And then she sent me to Christian camp where I came to the
Lord at the age of 13.

How did you become involved with uThando?


We heard that they need safety parents and thought "why not"!

What is your ‘day’ job?


Wake children up for school, feed them breakfast, drive to and from
school, help with homework, play games, feed, teach life skills.

How would you describe yourself?


Russian :)

What is the best thing about being involved in uThando?

That we actually do God's work for caring for those in need.

And seeing as though we work with Children..

Tell us how you (and Albert) met and fell in love…

I was translating in the Christian Student camp in St. Petersburg where Albert came although he  wasn't a student. Then he told me that he would like to visit Siberia so I invited him and we got to know each other better there and fell in love...

What experiences brought you to the place that you are now house
parents?


Working with children from orphanages in camps in Siberia and with children who graduated from  orphanages in St. Petersburg.

What are you most excited about in terms of being house parents?

That we can do different activities with children like hiking or going to the movies and church. And seeing how the children are being changed!

How can we best pray for you as House parents?

For wisdom and strength.

What jobs did you have before you joined uThando?


My degree is in accounting so for some time I worked as an accountant in
Russia, and then in tourism and as a PA. In SA I worked in the Jewellery
store as a sales person.
