Who are we?
The uThando leNkosi volunteers are made up of a group of young, passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We come from different backgrounds, cultures, churches and even different countries! But we all share a passion for living for God and loving people – especially little ones – and these passions unify us.
Most of our ‘on the ground’ work is done by students and young professionals: we currently enjoy expertise from the following areas through our volunteers: social work, public relations, law, psychology, occupational therapy, IT, teaching and paediatrics. We have also been privileged to have some volunteers being involved in the day-to-day running of the house, where their help and presence provides the house family with some time off to relax.
Our activities are facilitated and overseen by members of the uThando leNkosi Trust, where John Thomas of Living Hope and King of Kings Fish Hoek Baptist is chairman.
